Introduction to Pattern Play - Advanced

Program Description

The advanced Pattern Play program focuses on finding the hidden geometry within the patterns in Islamic art. Looking at geometric, floral, and calligraphic design motifs, students will seek out transformations within patterns and, without the use of computers, experiment with creating elaborate geometric motifs.
